Özet:The problem of psychoactive substance use is a problem that affects the whole world, the percentage of the population that falls into this problem is greater every day, even more at an early age, causing consequences in all aspects, hence the need to investigate The "CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL AND PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCES IN MESTIZOS AND INDIGENOUS ADOLESCENTS OF THE EL SAGRARIO, CANTÓN AND LOJA PROVINCE PARISH", with the objective of knowing the prevalence of alcohol and psychoactive substances consumption by age, gender and risk factors And protectors in adolescent mestizos and indigenous of the parish the Sagrario of the canton and province of Loja. The study was of quantitative approach, of transversal type; (CONSEP) was applied to 12 to 19 year-old students of the "Beatriz Cueva de Ayora" school, with a sample of 300, evidencing that the consumption of substances for the first time was due to curiosity and influence of Friendships, alcohol consumption predominates in the female sex with 20.76% between the ages of 16 years with 18.19%; The consumption of psychoactive substances varies between 12 and 17 years in men, whereas in women it ranges from 12 to 18 years, varying in the type of substance; Marijuana with 11.36% in men and women with 3.77%, inhalants with 2.27% in men and in women with 0.48%, cocaine with 1.13% in men and in women with one or 48%; plant drugs with 1.13% in men and in women with 1.41%, ecstasy with 0.00% in men and in women with 0.48%, crack with 0.00% in men and in women with a 0.48%. Hence the need to address this problem in an integral way in the perspective of generating strategies to prevent drug use.
