Conocimiento y uso de la píldora anticonceptiva de emergencia en adolescentes del Colegio Hernan Gallardo Moscoso de la ciudad de Loja durante, el periodo 2014 - 2015.

The emergency contraceptive pill is a contraceptive method which serves to prevent unwanted pregnancies, in adolescents and children avoid maternal complications. This research is qualitative with a retrospective cross-sectional study descriptive in order to determine the level of knowledge and use of emergency contraceptive pill; as well as to establish the level of knowledge and establish the number of students who have properly used the emergency contraceptive pill at the College Hernan Gallardo Moscoso city of Loja, additionally conducting a conference and informational brochure about knowledge and use the emergency contraceptive pill. The universe of study included a total of 208 students where an individual survey by the researcher to collect information, the results obtained and their analysis it was found that most adolescents have inadequate knowledge about applied PAE and the students surveyed the level of knowledge and use of this method of preventing unwanted pregnancies is suitable despite the little information they have at their disposal. In regards to the results obtained and the analysis carried out we can prove that in the majority of teenagers, the 74% have the wrong idea and knowledge about EC and, only 26% of surveyed students have an adequate level about such knowledge. According to usage, only a 14.42 percent of adolescent girls have used the EC, of which there are only a 26.67 percent who have carried out a proper use of it.
