Summary:In education, leadership has been established as an indispensable element to increase both efficiency and equity in educational institutions. However, the lack of adequate tools limits the effectiveness of leadership. This research seeks to improve educational leadership through the implementation of innovative and effective strategies, promoting participation among teaching and administrative staff, for which an innovative proposal was designed with activities and strategies aimed at strengthening the leadership skills of teachers to improve educational quality. In this sense, the present research was framed to determine the level of educational leadership and academic management of the teachers of the Basic Education School "3 de Diciembre" of the canton Paltas, province of Loja. Likewise, we worked with a non-experimental research design, cross-sectional scope, with a mixed approach, which allowed analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, using inductive-deductive and synthetic analytical methods, in order to understand the current dynamics of leadership and propose viable and effective solutions. The instrument used was the survey, evidencing that 50% of teachers point out lack of training and adequate support, and 58.33% of students qualify the teaching capacity to plan and execute effective classes as regular, highlighting concerns about the quality of teaching. Therefore, in response to the difficulties identified, a proposal was developed comprising a variety of activities aimed at enriching leadership skills, fostering cooperation and optimizing pedagogical techniques. The implementation of this proposal in the school has as its main goal to raise the level of education and consolidate the relationships between the participants in the educational process. Finally, based on the results and in comparison, with similar research, it is expected that the application of this proposal will have a significant positive impact on the solution of the identified problems, improving not only educational leadership and academic management but also performance and general satisfaction in the school community.
