Περίληψη:Mining in general has caused disturbances in the world, however, the legality that has been granted to this activity has unleashed a number of social conflicts in Latin America and of course in our country Ecuador. That is why it is necessary to analyze the communicational relations of mining companies with the areas of influence. This study has a qualitative approach and was developed through observation in order to collect data of interest about the conflicts that occurred in October 2020 and August 2021 due to responsible mining in the parishes of Gualel and San Pablo de Tenta; and content analysis to identify the different discursive and symbolic elements about these events. As a result of the methodological development, we found a great lack of information caused by the lack of dialogue, which is due to the fact that those who refuse to accept mining in these sectors are totally closed in their ideas and are not interested in listening to anything, they simply want the immediate departure of the mining companies from the Fierro Urco water zone. This makes it clear that a social conflict can be temporarily stopped, but it will not end. Keywords: Social Conflict; Dialogue; Gualel; Responsible Mining; San Pablo de Tenta.
