Riassunto:Some blood samples, morphometric and physiological measures were taken of fifteen male and female mora eagles from three zoos belonging to the mountain range of Ecuador. (A zoo from Quito located in Guayllabamba, an eco-zoo called San Martin from Baños and the Orillas del Zamora Zoo annexed to the Yamburara Park.). The blood tests were made in the laboratory of the Universidad Nacional de Loja. To carry out these tests properly the hematology analyzer Idexx Vert autoread and the vet Test® biochemical analyzer were used. Through the obtained results the reference values were determined (mean, standard, diversion, minimum and maximum range) for seven hematology parameters, thirteen of serum chemistry, three physiology and six morphometric parameters, likewise the sex effects in the values were studied. There were not any differences among the hematological, serum chemistry and physiological values in male and females. The physiological, morphometric, hematological and serum chemistry values are similar to the ones reported in the mora eagle (Geranoaetus melanoleucus). The obtained values were compared to the existent values for the real eagle (Aquila chrysaetos). The results were a bit higher and at the same time similar to the calva or American pigargo eagle (Haeliaetus leucocephalus).
