Summary: | Arts play a key part in the increase of socio-emotional skills, which are considered crucial for student well-being and future academic and professional success. This research project called plastic arts in the socio-emotional development of third grade students from the “Teniente Hugo Ortiz” School, has as its general objective: to analyse the impact of the plastic arts on the socio-emotional development of the above-mentioned students. This study was conducted with a mixed research approach, that is, of a quantitative and qualitative nature, along with a descriptive type of research. The research design is a non-experimental one, the methods used are: scientific, inductive, deductive, analytical, synthetic and descriptive. In order to obtain the information, the data were collected through surveys applied to teachers, and the application of the Mesquite test to the students. Subsequently, the proposal was applied, which consists of several activities based on a variety of plastic arts activities, then the pre-test was applied, achieving excellent results in the four essential areas such as understanding, management, facilitation and emotional perception. Finally, it is concluded that the plastic arts provided a deep understanding of the emotional, social and psychological needs as well as opened the door to the implementation of pedagogical strategies and personalized support.
