| Yhteenveto: | In the educational environment, methodological strategies are considered to be a set of techniques, activities and resources to develop learning skills in students. The objective of the paper was to analyse the methodological strategies in the teaching-learning process in 5-year-old children from the primary school “Rosa Josefina Burneo”. This research was of a descriptive qualitative methodology with a non-experimental design, which allowed an in-depth analysis of the different strategies and methodologies with which, the teacher approaches her activities and how they impact the children's learning process. The factual analysis was applied through an observation sheet addressed at the students, and an interview to the teacher. The results obtained evidenced that there is no unification in the application of methodological strategies in the teaching-learning process, so not all students have the opportunity to develop all their thinking potential. It is concluded that, among the methodological strategies used by the teacher, the reading corner and games excel for learning, thus confirming that children acquire effective and life-lasting knowledge.
