要約:The thesis entitled: ASSERTIVE COMMUNICATION TECHNIQUES TO IMPROVE INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS IN THE STUDENTS OF THE NINTH YEAR OF BASIC GENERAL EDUCATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL UNIT "PIO JARAMILLO ALVARADO" OF THE CITY OF LOJA IN THE PERIOD 2017-2018, aims to apply assertive communication techniques to improve interpersonal relationships in ninth grade students. The study was descriptive, with cross section and pre-experimental design; The methods applied were: the theoretical, historical-logical, analytic-synthetic, deductive, inductive. The questionnaire for the evaluation of interpersonal difficulties in adolescence was applied with a sample of 21 students. The results (pre-test) considering the most significant levels were: relationships with peers (61.90%), relationship with the opposite sex (57.14%), assertion (52.38%), Public speaking (47.62%) and relationship with family members (33.33%). After application of the proposal the levels improved remarkably, thus being the results of the (post-test): relationships with equals (80.95%), relationship with the opposite sex (90.48%), assertion (76,19%), speaking in public (95.24%) and relationship with relatives (80.95%). It is concluded that the students improved their interpersonal relationships after the application of the program, and it is important that they continue to be used to improve the quality of life of the students
