Serotipos virales de dengue: estudios de las técnicas moleculares y su eficacia diagnóstica. Una revisión sistemática

Shrnutí: | Dengue is a viral disease caused by four closely related serotypes (DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3 and DENV-4) transmitted by the vector Aedes spp. It is considered the most common arboviral disease worldwide with the greatest burden in tropical and subtropical regions. The diagnosis of this disease is confirmed by laboratory, using direct or indirect methods that have different degrees of diagnostic efficiency and effectiveness. The purpose of this study is to identify the main molecular methods and their diagnostic efficacy in the identification and serotyping of dengue virus. To this end, the methodology for systematic reviews was followed, starting with the search for the problem using the Cochrane system guidelines and screening the information following the PRISMA method, evaluating the quality of each document using the JBI tool for diagnostic test accuracy studies, ensuring that the tests used for this review comply with the guidelines established for their methodology and development, so that the results presented in this review are adequate, avoiding the highest percentage of risk of bias possible. It was found that realtime polymerase chain reaction with reverse transcriptase (RT-qPCR), loop-mediated isothermal amplification and conventional RT-PCR are the techniques most commonly used in the detection of dengue, on the other hand, the circulating serotypes detected were the 4, in Asia, America and Europe, finally, the molecular techniques that showed the highest diagnostic efficacy were RTqPCR and RT-LAMP based techniques. In conclusion, the choice of technique for the detection of dengue depends on its accessibility, simplicity, rapidity and diagnostic efficacy; on the other hand, the growing increase of dengue infections constitutes a serious health problem if there is no adequate clinical and epidemiological management |
