Sumari:Violence against women, especially exercised by the couple in different manifestations, predisposes women to suffer serious psychological, physical, sexual, and patrimonial problems in the short and long term, affecting the well-being and rights of all kinds of women. The purpose of this research was to theoretically substantiate the problem of violence against women, where the frequency and types were identified, also sociodemographic characterization was conducted, and finally, actions were established to prevent and improve the quality of women’s life residing in the community “Las Lagunas” during the period 2020 to 2021. Therefore, it was a quantitative probabilistic study approached with a cross-sectional cut since there is a sample framework that is considered as the objective. Thus, during the research, multiple choices poll was conducted in the community to all women who met all the inclusion and exclusion criteria, in total eightyseven women-headed households were evaluated regarding the violence against women. It was evident that the main character of violence is the women’s partner. As a result, we could determine that the main forms of violence are 64% of psychological violence, 55% of economic or patrimonial violence, 51% of physical violence, and 36% of sexual violence. In conclusion, there is a need to design a social action plan aimed at the prevention of violence against women and comprehensive care for this population
