Omschrijving
Samenvatting:This research work was carried out in the farm experimental "Punzara" of the National University of Loja, with the purpose of contributing to improve the levels of milk production in Holstein friesian cows, maintained in pasture, by using elaborated supplementary rations based on bankruptcy belly (QB). Four treatments were evaluated: T1 without QB (control), T2 with 10% of QB, T3 with 20% of QB and T4 with 30% of QB. Four Holstein cows with an average weight of 470.5 kg and an average production of 7.75 l / d were used, distributed according to the 4x4 square Latin design, with four treatments and four periods. The variables studied were: bromatological composition of the experimental rations; food consumption, milk production, milk quality, weight change and profitability. The results show that the experimental rations have an appreciable nutritional value with average values of 55.26% for dry matter, 20.19% crude protein and 13, 87% for raw fiber, which allowed to complement the nutritional requirements of the cows in production. The use of supplementary rations generated higher feed intake in treatment two (10% QB) with 15.38 kg / day; milk production registered a slight increase of 0.35 l / day in treatment four with (30% QB); likewise the organoleptic characteristics and the fat content were not compromised; however, the protein content showed an increase of 0.07% in treatment four (30% QB). Finally the profitability was very good in the rations with bankruptcy belly; so it is concluded that the use of supplementary rations based on bankruptcy belly, is an efficient and economically viable alternative that contributes to improve milk production in the province of Loja. Keywords: bankruptcy, productive indicators, profitability, milk quality.
