Sumari:The present titled investigation: "The Police Novel and their Incidence in the Habit Reader in the Students of the Parallel, A, B, C, of the tenth Year of General Basic Education of the School of High school "Vilcabamba." Period lectivo 2013 - 2014." For he thought about it the general following objective: to know if the reading of police novels impacts in the habit reader of the students. The methodology is conformed by methods like: scientific, inductive-deductive, analytic - synthetic and statistical; that served to expose the relationship and importance of the police novel in the habit reader. As technical they were used: the interview applied at 6 educational and the questionnaire to the tenth year-old 96 students. You concludes that the reading of police novels if they are of interest, but that it is fomenting and providing, in a very insufficient way, what demonstrates that not all the educational ones are cultivating the reading habit, since alone a minimum quantity of students that they like to constantly read exists. Concluding that the students manifest that the police novels yes they stimulate the interest to a better reading, but that sporadically they apply them, to be concluded it recommends to the educational ones to use and to investigate an abundance of strategies to motivate and to stir up the interest for the reading and for ended to improve the habit reader of the students.
