Summary:This Curricular Integration work is titled: “Dehomosexualization clinics, a real lack of protection by the Ecuadorian State regarding the rights of people belonging to the LGBTIQ+ community”, the interest in research arises from the fact that a notable lack of protection of the State towards sexually divergent people due to the inaction on the centers that offer dehomosexualization services, even though homosexuality is not considered a mental illness since 1990. Currently, in Ecuador there are more than 268 sexual conversion centers according to reports from non-governmental organizations in defense of the rights of the LGBTIQ+ community, where sexual conversion therapy is practiced, a treatment that uses treatments such as: insults, beatings, electroshocks, physical, psychological and sexual abuse, where the victims are forced to live in overcrowded conditions. , they are deprived of food and receive degrading and dehumanizing treatment that violates their fundamental rights.
