Yhteenveto:This research work was about Methodological Strategies: effective actions to strengthen reading comprehension in the students of fifth grade of General Basic Education; the general objective was to determine the influence of methodological strategies in strengthening reading comprehension in the students of fifth grade parallel “B” at Filomena Mora de Carrión School, in the city of Loja during the 2022- 2023 school year, in the theoretical framework addressed issues related to methodological strategies and reading comprehension; the methodology was based on the use of methods: scientific, statistical, descriptive, analytical, synthetic and inductive methods; to obtain information, the teacher and students were interviewed and a reading comprehension diagnostic was applied to diagnose the development of reading comprehension. The research population included one teacher and twenty three students. The results allow us to determine that a high percentage of students have a very low level of reading comprehension, a smaller percentage have a low level and the same percentage have a literal level. Therefore, in order to support the development of reading comprehension in students, the didactic guide "The magic of comprehensively reading" was designed and applied; according to the results obtained, the teacher is encouraged to consider the use of methodological strategies in order to develop of reading comprehension, which is considered one of the essential aspects for the acquisition of future learning.
