| סיכום: | Nowadays, it is noticeable how fast technologies have advanced and with it the excessive use of social networks, considering adolescents as the most attracted or vulnerable to these online spaces. The exaggerated use and without supervision of these social networks, can generate a behavioral addiction and this can cause a deterioration of the normal development of an individual, in its fundamental areas for life, but mainly in social skills. The purpose of this research was to determine if there is a relationship between social skills and addiction to social networks in adolescents from eighth to tenth grade in a Loja city school. The methodology used in this study was developed through in a nonexperimental design because the variables were not manipulated and were investigated in their natural state, it has a quantitative and descriptive correlational approach, it is also cross-sectional because it was possible to analyze data of the two variables, which were collected over a period of time on a sample population, the sample consisted of 75 adolescents from 13 to 16 years old of both sexes. The instruments used to collect information were the Social Skills Assessment Test and the Social Networks Addiction Questionnaire. The results showed that the Pearson significance value was 0.67, evidencing that there is no statistically significant correlation between the two variables studied, in social skills a low level was obtained, which means that there is a deficit of social skills and in relation to social networks addiction , adolescents presented a medium level, based on the results, a Psychoeducational Plan was designed for the development of social skills and prevention of excessive use of social networks in the adolescents |
