Sumari:Acne brings in some people change their image, psychological well-being, the ability to relate and may precipitate suicide. Is not given the importance it requires its own considering the age. That is why this research is focusing on the importance of knowledge of different psychological disorders that occur in patients with acne, as well as identify the predominant personality traits, the level of demoralization and the degree of social withdrawal. Having knowledge of different psychological alterations in acne patients, allows for a comprehensive treatment, not just oriented in the dermatology area, but also in the psychological area. This research was conducted in the “Manuel Ygnacio Monteros”, IESS Hospital of the city of Loja, the patient 18 to 25 years of age diagnosed acne dermatology outpatients. Have a perspective Descriptive type -Transversal, instruments used were: semi-structured interview, psychological reagents: Scale PERI (Psychiatric Epidemiological Interview), Beck Depression (BDI - II ) and IPDE Assessment Questionnaire . The results of the investigation known to us as the test applied to 66% of patients have depression, 70% anxiety prevails in 32% of patients avoidant personality trait, 74 % present demoralization (decreased mood and loss of self-worth) and 58% social withdrawal. As mentioned above, develop a treatment plan that would provide tools for patients with acne have a better quality of life and necessary for coping correctly.
