| Sumari: | Kidney tomato is a vegetable that shows its potential when it gets appropriate mineral nutrition, this is a reason why farmers use an excessive number of fertilizers which has caused negative effects on the ground, limiting the absorption of the nutrients by the plant. Arbuscular Mycorrhizae Fungi (AMF) allow plans to have greater efficiency in the use of soil resources. Additionally, the symbiosis process established between plant-microorganism could contribute to the tolerance of biotic and abiotic ground conditions. This work, it was evaluated the fact of three doses of mycorrhizae at different application times in the production of S. lycopersicum in the greenhouse. The project was carried out in La Argelia, Loja. Three doses of mycorrhizae were applied during the transplantation time (50 kg/ha, 100 kg/ha 150 kg/ha) and fractionally (transplant and 30 ADT) plus a control (without mycorrhizae). The dose of mycorrhizae of 150 kg/ha that was applied in two moments, showed flowering and higher yields, of 102 t/ha. There were no significant differences between plant height stem diameter, leaf area, number of fruits per cluster, or fresh plant weight, but there was observed an effect in the application of mycorrhizae at two times fresh plant weight a dry plant weight. Fruit weight was higher in the treatments in which mycorrhizae was used the chemical properties of the soil such as electrical conductivity, calcium, phosphorus, organic carbon, and organic matter did not show significant differences except for pH, which showed it in mycorrhizae treatments (5.2) compared to the control (4.87). The inoculation of mycorrhizae in tomato provides a higher food weight, increase yield and reduce the impact of fertilizers on the ground, which will improve agricultural sustainability. Key words: AMF, performance, sustainability, S. lycopersicum var. elpida. |
