| סיכום: | Malocclusions are accompanied by postural problems. Both are common in children and is that at this stage most of the morphological and functional changes that may affect the proper skeletal muscle development occur. Therefore, it is at this age that must develop intervention programs for obtaining an ideal posture and functional occlusion. The aim of this study was to determine the relation of postural position with the types of malocclusion in schoolchildren in the School Monsignor Juan Maria Riofrio city of Loja period March to July 2016. The methodology used, the present research was observational, descriptive and transversal. Angle classification models study was used and 60 photographs taken of schoolchildren were analyzed: the median age was 10 years between a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 years. The 55% of the sample had malocclusion Class I, the percentage was significantly higher compared to other subgroups (P <0.001), one in five students had class III malocclusion. 68% of children had correct postural positions. The difference was significant with respect to the incorrect (P = 0.005). Keywords: types of malocclusion, postural position. |
