Итог:The purpose of this research was aimed to determine the level of use of ICTs in the process of teaching and learning in the career of nutrition and dietetics of the secular University "Eloy Alfaro" of Manabí, during the 2011-2012 period; as well as, to propose alternative guidelines allowing to assist in the solution of the problems encountered. The methods were used in the research process: scientist, inductive, deductive, descriptive, which allowed more than the compilation of empirical information, perform the analysis and interpretation of data, to reach conclusions and propose alternative to the found problem guidelines The technique used was the survey, the same one that was applied to the entire population of the career of nutrition and dietetics of the ULEAM; namely, managers, teachers and students. Main results allow to affirm that in the career of nutrition and dietetics from Universidad Laica "Eloy Alfaro" de Manabí ULEAM, the level of use of ICTs, is minimal in the process teaching and learning. That the level of training that have teachers and students in the use of ICTs is limited since most have formed out of necessity, or by his own account, often with advice from friends and family, it is not enough to make a proper usage in the teaching-learning process. That the lack of use of ICTs, not allow the realization of autonomous learning of students. For these reasons, teachers and students, agree on the urgent need to plan and implement training courses on the use of ICTs, to improve teaching-learning process.
