| Резюме: | The study titled 'Didactic Strategies and Communicative Competencies in the Fifth Grade of Basic General Education in the Language and Literature area' aims to analyze the impact of didactic strategies on strengthening the communicative competencies of fifth-grade students in parallel 'A' at 'José Ingenieros' Basic General Education School in the city of Loja. It is descriptive research with a mixed approach and a quasi-experimental design. The theoretical framework addresses didactic strategies and communicative competencies. Scientific, analytical, synthetic, statistical, and descriptive methods were employed during the investigative process. Information was collected through an interview with the teacher and a diagnostic evaluation applied to the students. The investigated population includes one teacher and twenty-eight students. The results allow us to determine that a significant percentage of children need substantial improvement in their ability to express themselves, comprehend, and relate effectively. Therefore, the proposal 'Communication in Action, Guide to Didactic Strategies' was designed and implemented. Upon completion, a second evaluation demonstrated significant improvements in the communicative competencies of students, emphasizing that the selected didactic strategies contribute to strengthening communicative competencies considered essential for better interaction, understanding, and relationships with others for personal and social development.
