الملخص:Dengue fever is an arbovirus disease that affects people of all ages. Its symptoms range from mild to incapacitating fever. This disease can reproduce in any artificial or natural container with water located in tropical or subtropical areas of America. The main objective of this research was to determine the prevalence of epidemiological diseases, e.g., dengue infection cases, in Loja during 2020. The research was observational and quantitative. The sample consisted of 50 reported cases of dengue fever at the epidemiological gazette by Universidad Nacional de Loja and the districts of the Public Health Ministry: Zone 7. The results show that biological factors are associated with dengue fever and are found in greater proportion in men with 74% and, regarding age, 50% ranging from 20 to 49 years old. In addition, it was determined that dengue fever is closely related to sociodemographic factors among which we can emphasize 70% of cases being located in Macara, Loja; 98% of cases located in urban residences, and 44% of cases being students. Therefore, it is concluded that there is a relationship between dengue fever in Loja and biological and sociodemographic factors such as gender, age, parish and area of residence, and occupation
