Because of this we conducted a cross-sectional descriptive study in Malacatos, taking as sample to 193 students of schools "Reina Juliana of Holanda", "José Benigno", "José María Riofrio", "Nelson Bermeo" and " Belgica Jimenez" for the purpose of diagnosing oral health and identify risk factors present. To collect information used survey instruments such as dental and medical history, the same that was filled in the time when oral examination was performed subsequent to this were given lectures on oral health and hygiene , ending with delivery of toothpaste and toothbrushes to children . Completed research found that 98.45 % of students have tooth decay, and that the study population gives little importance to oral health. Keywords: caries risk factors, gingival inflammation, and malocclusion.
