| Sumari: | In the present research, it had as the objective was to carry out an environmental impact study of the poultry farm known as "La Hacienda" located in the Namanda sector, canton, and province of Loja, for which during the survey was taken into account the baseline of the area in a direct and indirect influence, which includes the abiotic component: climate, hydrology, water, land use and cover, soil and noise; biotic component: the characterization of the flora, avifauna, herpetofauna, and mastofauna and also the socioeconomic component. The evaluation and qualification of the environmental impacts generated during the phase operation and closure of the farm were done through the cause-effect matrix, in which the impacts were described, evaluated, and finally analyzed. Based on the impacts matrix, the Environmental Management Plan was prepared, which contains actions for prevention, mitigation, and remediation of the identified environmental impacts. The results show that the environmental conditions of the study area are affected by the poultry activity present in the place, where it could find foul odors, noise levels increment, and flora modification. The environmental impacts identified in the poultry farm named "La Hacienda" produces a total impact value of 774, where 33.33% (258) is positive, and 66.67% (516) is negative; the highest negative impact value is presented in the atmosphere, component while the highest positive impact is in the socioeconomic component. The measures proposed by the EMP, such as impact prevention and mitigation, are aimed at reducing and mitigating the most significant issues identified during the operation and closure stage of the farm.
