The development of digital tourism products is a means to strengthen and promote the tourist areas of the localities that do not have the promotion that should be done to increase the influx of tourists to the community. Therefore, the objective of this research was the creation of digital tourism products to promote tourism development. The specific objective was to diagnose tourism in the urban parish of Catamayo, then determine the concept of digital tourism products prioritized as a result of the diagnosis. The first objective, Diagnose tourism in the urban parish of Catamayo, aims to know what the parish has, for this we used the methodology of Carla Ricaurte which allowed us to make a diagnosis of the potential of the tourist site, Surveys were used to determine the profile of tourists who visit the parish and obtain information about the products that they believe are important for the place, interviews were conducted with the head of the tourism unit and owners of tourist establishments, followed by the methodology for the survey of attractions of tourist areas of Ecuador established by the MINTUR. Through the data collected, the SWOT matrix was used, then the cross SWOT was used to define the possible proposals. The results obtained showed that the place has a large number of lodging and food establishments, cultural attractions and the product chosen was the design of a tourist route called "El Valle del Eterno Sol" which also has two circuits called La Cruz and El Boquerón. For the second objective, to determine the concept of digital tourism products prioritized as a result of the diagnosis, the Canvas model was applied to break down the essential digital elements or tools for tourism products, based on the market segment selected in the first objective. In order to digitize the route, different digital tools were identified for the operation of the tourist product, a draft was made in which each of the steps that have to be considered to be able to implement it in the different digital platforms, an approximate budget was made of the value that it could cost to make the proposals in conclusion the Tourist Route "The Valley of the Eternal Sun" is a proposal that seeks to boost the tourist part of the town allowing the promotion and dissemination of each of the attractions, In terms of recommendations, the GAD of Catamayo should provide training to tourist establishments and small entrepreneurs, and the Ministry of Tourism of zone 7 should carry out a project focused on promoting the parish and disseminating it nationally as a destination to be taken into account. |
