সংক্ষিপ্ত:In the present investigation, it was hypothesized that the use of ICT tools influence the academic performance of the algebra block functions of the mathematics subject, in the students of the ninth year of basic general education of the basic education school “18 de November ”of the city of Loja, in the 2018-2019 period, and as a general objective to analyze the use of ICT tools within the classroom and their impact on academic performance. The research was approached under the use of several methods such as the scientific method, through which it was possible to work methodically and systematically to meet the stated objectives, the inductive-deductive method to determine the causes of the phenomenon and raise the conclusions, the method descriptive to deeply analyze the consequences of the problem, the hypothetical-deductive method was used to determine the hypothesis and what was demonstrated; getting as main results that the knowledge that students have about ICT tools is average based on the surveys applied to them, and this is because the teacher does not implement these tools in the classroom because there is no necessary equipment for its application; the learning that the students obtained is low since their average grade at the beginning is 6.82 and at the end it is 7.07; this based on the record of notes, which indicates that it is not possible to form knowledge correctly; through which the use of technological tools such as Mathway and Google Classroom is proposed that will improve academic performance significantly.
