| Summary: | Mobile technology in recent years has had great changes, being indispensable today for humanity and the life style of people, even children who in one way or another also have access to different devices. Thus, the general objective of this research is to analyze the use of mobile devices and the development of linguistic competences in children from initial 2 at “Marieta de Veintimilla” School; in the same way, three specific objectives were established: the first to identify the theoretical foundations about the use of mobile devices and the development of linguistic skills in the children of initial 2 of Marieta de Veintimilla School, the second objective: to describe the use of the mobile devices and the development of linguistic competences of the children of initial 2 of Marieta de Veintimilla school and the third objective: to determine through instruments for collecting information on the manipulation of mobile devices in children of initial 2 of ¨Marieta de Veintimilla¨ School within the family environment. The methodology used has a qualitative approach with a descriptive scope since the association of the study variables was specifically sought. The results obtained show that there is a relationship between the use of mobile devices and the development of linguistic skills, that is, children who have had access to mobile devices without parental control have presented difficulties in developing a language appropriate for their age, concluding that there is evidently a problem in the linguistic area because mobile devices do not allow children to socialize with people, limiting their communication skills. Keywords: technology, teaching, education, communication. |
