Резюме:The present research was carried out in a public hospital in the city of Loja, with the aim of exploring how the working climate affects the performance of its staff, the research aimed to analyze the correlation of the work climate with the performance of the staff of a public hospital in the city of Loja 2024; as for the methodology, a descriptive and transversal type of research was developed; for data collection, the survey technique was applied to 62 people belonging to the institution, through a simple random sampling, the statistical program of multiple regression and Pearson’s correlation was used to determine the degree of significance between the variables: work climate and work performance. By analysing data on the factors of the working climate found such as working conditions, interpersonal relations, internal communication, organizational structure, vocational training, recognition and promotion, motivation and satisfaction and psychosocial dimension, it was possible to establish that there is varied but not significant correlation with values of -0.42, -0,12, 0,22, 0,33, 0,35, -0,12, -0,05 and 0,11 respectively between each factor of organizational climate and the work performance of public hospital staff. Referring to the overall objective, it was concluded that the work climate has a slight positive correlation with job performance, indicating that other factors may be affecting staff performance in addition to the work climate.
