Čoahkkáigeassu:The first permanent molar lower shows a complex system of root canals and a higher rate of endodontic failures, to increase the success in the treatment, it is necessary to have knowledge about the internal configuration of the root canals and their variations; this study was carried out to know the internal configuration of the root canals according to the Vertucci classification in the first permanent lower molars of teeth extracted in patients from the city and province of Loja, for which 40 samples were analyzed, disinfected with NaOCl at 1 % during 24 hours, 4 arches made of heavy silicone paste were made in each one, 10 teeth were placed, then a computerized cone-beam tomographic study was carried out, the software of each of the teeth was analyzed, as The result was that the most predominant duct configuration in the mesial root of the first lower molars studied according to the Vertucci classification was TYPE II with a percentage of 65.0%, followed by type IV with a percentage of 22, 5%, TYPE I was also found corresponding to 10.0%, followed by TYPE III with a percentage of 2.5%, types V, VI, VII, And VIII were not found in this study.
