| Sumario: | The learning of chemistry that are achieved through the lab allows students to link theoretical content and implement them through experimentation, allowing develop certain skills and abilities, however, some factors affecting lest linking occurs; these may be due to lack of equipment, seldom attend the laboratory, the types of practices to develop, among others. Faced with this problem was proposed research titled, "The laboratory practices and strategies linking theory with practice in the learning of the subject of first year chemistry Unified School General Education Unit Fernando Suarez Palace Carigan district of the city of Loja. Period 2012 2013 ". The present study was overall objective: To analyze how the labs contribute to linking theory with practice in teaching and learning of chemistry at the first year of General Unified School Education Unit Fernando Suarez Palace the city of Loja. The methods used in this research were: inductive, deductive method and the analytic - synthetic method , the bibliographical and heuristic , which allowed for an approach to knowing the reality of the issues raised also made possible the analysis and systematization of information suitable for this study; the technique used to obtain real data was: the survey instrument was applied to teachers and students of the educational community, information that allow the analysis and interpretation of results, whereas it was determined that although the teachers often use the chemistry lab , materials and reagents at their disposal are not sufficient to perform the practice, which means that the theoretical and practical relationship is not given in full in the students of this Educational Unit . Furthermore, the fact remains that the labs that develop in the institution for experimental work of Chemistry are limited due to the shortage of materials and reagents are there in this place , that regardless of the ~ 5 ~ physical space where is located; Moreover the theory linking practice does not occur entirely due to factors such as: a purely theoretical explanation, considering that this is a subject that lends itself to experimental work, another reason is the aforementioned as lack of reagents and materials to be fundamental in the laboratory, enough so that the labs they are not considered as theoretical linkage strategies practical reasons. |
