Summary:This Curricular Integration Project titled "Violation of the Right to Equality and Dignityof Nursing Interns in the Health Sciences: Victims of Workplace Harassment in Public Hospitals" aims to investigate and analyze workplace harassment, which has gained momentum in recent years. This issue compromises individuals' right to work, as it involves one or more individuals in a company, society, or institution targeting a coworker with the objective of forcing them to leave their position, undermining their self-esteem, or boosting the perpetrators' own self- worth. Understanding workplace harassment is of utmost importance, and the authors of this project aim to contribute to the fight against it. Their personal experiences have motivated them to work in this field and assist others in similar situations, thereby promoting equality and social justice. It is crucial to shed light on workplace harassment in Ecuador, as it is a problem affecting many workers in the country and has severe social, psychological, and physical consequences. This type of harassment undermines the dignity of millions people worldwide, servingas a significant source of inequality, discrimination, and conflict in the workplace. The study conducted reveals that workplace harassment within hospitals disrupts the emotional stability and physical health of nursing interns. This indicates a failure to comply with the regulations 4 regarding their rights, such as Article 326 of the Ecuadorian Constitution, which ensures an appropriate and conducive work environment that guarantees their health, integrity, and well- being. By conducting this research, the authors hope to ensure rights in the workplace, improve the work environment, and promote stability for interns. The objective of this project is to analyze the current situation of workplace harassmentin the healthcare field and to determine whether rights such as equality and dignity are being upheld for healthcare personnel working in this sector. To achieve this, data obtained through surveys and interviews were collected and analyzed. The aim was to obtain a clear understanding of the current situation and, if instances of workplace harassment were identified, propose preventive measures or recommendations to eradicate such behavior in the workplace. The research study reveals that workplace harassment within hospitals disrupts the emotional stability and physical health of nursing interns, indicating a failure to comply with their rights. This project used some materials and methods that facilitated its development, including surveys and interviews with legal professionals and labor of specialists, as well as rotating nursing interns. The results of these activities helped to highlight the existence of workplace harassment within hospitals, raising awareness and ensuring the rights of nursing interns.
