| Summary: | The present project is relevant and significant to the sector of society often forgotten by it or that does not receive the attention it requires; evidencing the needs and limitations faced by a person with visual impairment to maintain their oral health and be responsible for it, through the current scientific evidence and impact background was raised as goal to promote oral health through didactic proposals in children with visual disabilities of the Special Institute for the Blind Byron Eguiguren school period 2018-2019; this is a descriptive, observational and cross-sectional study. It is highlighted that the sense of sight is considered the most important as it contributes for acquiring much of our knowledge and skills, so it is necessary to incorporate the remaining senses such as touch and hearing into the learning process, by using acrylic macro models to indicate brushing techniques, models of healthy and decayed dental groups to achieve greater tactile stimulation by recognizing the texture of the simulated tissues, a manual of advice for oral health in braille, in this way it is intended to promote oral health, integrate the children in their daily care to develop knowledge and skills that allow them to assume their oral care and prevent the progression of pathologies thus improving your oral health, therefore your quality of life.
