| Summary: | Is considered as urinary tract infection (UTI ) for the presence and proliferation of microorganisms in the urine due to infection of the urethra , bladder and kidney , usually bacteria enter the urethra and migrate into the bladder causing infection in the genitourinary tract , UTIs are common infections affecting humans throughout their lives , and occur more frequently in women than in men . It was found that between 10 and 30% of women suffer from a urinary tract infection in the course of its existence, there are some factors that increase the risk of a UTI , this includes: sexual activity , pregnancy, genetics, retention urinary and older, which is why this study aims to: identify the bacterial agents causing urinary tract infections in women of 12-60 years age group know where women are more vulnerable to acquiring UTI for which research was conducted descriptive and cross-sectional cohort, using the method of urinalysis and urine culture, whose shows were 52 women who met the inclusion criteria , which identified UTI -causing bacteria, the main bacteria that were found, Escherichia coli in 39%, of cases, Klebsiella oxytoca by 22 %,Proteus vulgaris by 17%, Proteus mirabilis by 11%, Enterobacter agglomerans and Staphylococcus epidermidis by 6%, the most affected women aged between 33-42 years (28%).
