Sumario:This research has as objective implement a program school for parents to improve the functionality of the family homes of adolescents in eighth year of education basic of the unit education Calasanz, descriptive, cross-sectional study, a sample 20 parents; applied methods: scientist, inductive, deductive, analytical, synthetic, comprehensive, diagnostic, modeling. The survey and the questionnaire for the evaluation of family functioning (Atri 2006) were applied. Results of the diagnosis; 70% maintain an Avoidant communication, 20% says that never the father meets its responsibilities; in the pre-test is that 80 percent of families maintained a pattern of dysfunctional communication and pos test decreases to 15%; the results of the evaluation of the school for parents according to the Pearson linear correlation coefficient, obtained r (x, and) = 0.65 means that there is a correlation that is moderate in the area of functional affective involvement concluded that in the homes of teenagers there are dysfunctional communication patterns, low expression of affection and breach of roles; the intervention had a positive correlation low in dysfunctional communication patterns
