Adicionar Tag | Resumo: | This research analyzes the impact of artificial intelligence, specifically ChatGPT, on news writing in digital media in Loja in 2023 to 2024. The main objectives are to analyze how this technology affects the quality, originality and objectivity of journalism, and to understand the perception of the public and professionals for its use. The results reveal both positive and negative aspects of using ChatGPT in journalism. The important benefits include the speed and efficiency of writing posts, and artificial intelligence helps to create drafts and automate repetitive tasks. This allows journalists to focus on critical analysis and interpretation of information. Moreover, innovation in journalism is evident as ChatGPT allows the creation of interactive and personalized content, improves user experience and enables new ways of presenting the news. However, some major problems were discovered. Despite technological advances, many users still prefer human journalism because it offers authenticity and critical focus. The reliability and accuracy of news generated by artificial intelligence are still in doubt, especially in complex contexts and cultural differences. There are also concerns about the ethics of using artificial intelligence and the possible negative impact on the employment of journalists who could be replaced by this technology in the future.
