Conocimientos y prácticas sobre prevención y manejo de enfermedad diarreica aguda, en madres de niños/as de los Centros Infantiles del Buen Vivir, Daniel Álvarez y Víctor Emilio Valdivieso MIES, Loja, 2014-2015

The magnitude of the diarrheas on a global scale, it constitutes one of three causes more frequent than morbidity and mortality in the children and less girls of age, generating high indexes of economic costs for the sector health. The present investigation allowed to identify the knowledge and the maternal practices on EDA prevention and establish the knowledge and the maternal practices on the EDA handling, in the children / experts attended in the Infantile Centers of the Good one to Live, Daniel Álvarez and Víctor Emilio Valdivieso GRAIN, Loja, 2014-2015; the universe was constituted by 80 mothers to whom a survey was applied for the compilation of information, the same ones that were tabulated and were analyzed at the end of demonstrating the raised in the targets. The opposing results demonstrate that the population of the study, defines correctly the diarrhea, but it has no knowledge on the prevention of this illness, especially the risk factors to develop diarrhea and the measurements that diminish the danger of producing this pathology to him. Also there does not exist a practice adapted as for the measurements for the consumption of sure water; presence of animals Intradomiciliarios; and in the care of the food before to its ingestion. Nevertheless in the handling of the diarrhea, good practices exist as for rehydration and preparation of the oral whey and the home-made whey.
