Riassunto:The following research project entitled "PROPOSAL OF A DESIGN FOR THE INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN THE TECNICENTRO AUTOSTOCK COMPANY" was carried out as a prerequisite to obtain the degree of Bachelor in Accounting and Auditing, and it has been developed according to the academic regulations of the National University of Loja. To fulfill the main objective, which has been mentioned beforehand, an initial inventory was prepared, which specified each of the stocks that the company has in the warehouse area with a start date of November 1, 2021 and a cut-off date of January 31, 2022. This record classifies the tires according to brand and details of their codes, description, quantity, unit cost and total cost. This made possible to organize the data and establish efficient procedures. Next, kardex cards were designed for each of the items where the process of recording the inventory entries and exits, as well as the cost that was carried out and backed up with the purchase and sales invoices. The inventory valuation performed by applying the weighted average method and, based on the data obtained, a final inventory of the merchandise was determined. Consequently, once the information obtained was analyzed and the proposal of an inventory management model for the company was made, which consisted of the application of the Japanese 5 "S" organization method, indicating the benefits, steps and responsibilities of each of its stages. For each phase [sort (Seiri), Seit in order (Seiton), Shine (Seiso), Standardize (Seiketsu) and sustain (Shitsuke)] a procedure was developed that covers the objective, application and steps to be followed by the members of the entity. Likewise, a flow chart of each S is presented, which allows to understand the process to be followed and under which delegation the responsibility falls. Finally, the presentation of procedures and flow charts for inventory turnover is intended to cover the entire process managed by the company. From the purchase, storage, dispatch and sale of the same, for each operation the process to be followed and those responsible are listed. This process seeks to improve the development of each of the activities and therefore to make the knowledge and attention provided to customers more effective. In conclusion, this work was developed with the purpose of showing an inventory control alternative based on procedures and flow charts that facilitate a correct rotation and organization of the company's merchandise, highlighting the importance of inventory control and making it necessary to structure efficient processes that contribute to the good use and management of resources and the fulfillment of proposed goals.
