| Тойм: | Dental illnesses such as cavities, periodontal issues and malocclusions are worldwide health problems, which affect developed countries, but mostly developing countries, especially the poorest. Dental cavity is one the main dental problems around the world; it is relatively frequent in children and adults. In order to identify the most common pathologies in Celica, a project was developed with the purpose of outlining an epidemic profile of school students who live in the urban areas. A sample of 326 scholars was evaluated through a clinical chart previously approved. The study was quantitative, and descriptive; it was also exploratory and traverse. The data was tabulated through Excel 2016. The methodology used during the research process led to achieve the objectives, one of the main aim was: To determine the dental epidemic profile of school students living in urban areas in Celica from March to July 2016. Once the research project was concluded, it was possible to determine that the most frequent pathology was gingivitis with a 97.85%, followed by dental cavity with 86.50%. Other common dental issues were furred tongue with a 70.55%, dental crowding with a 51.23%, dental malocclusion with a 37.98%, desquamative cheilitis with a 28.22%; pulp pathology with a 17.79% and last but not least dental fluorosis with a 10.74%. Other less common dental issues will be also described throughout this research work. Keywords: Epidemiological Profile, Basic Education Students |
