| সংক্ষিপ্ত: | This paper is about the design of a corn leaf and grain stripping machine. The proposed machine consists of a main shaft, which incorporates elements such as a horizontal grain stripping cylinder with stripping elements arranged in a spiral path. These elements perform the corn stripping through impact and friction. At the end of the shaft, a fan is installed to expel the residues generated during the stripping process. The feeding is done manually through a hopper, and the power is provided by an internal combustion engine with a power of 10 Hp, which is transmitted by a belt drive system. The production capacity was obtained from a field analysis of the average production at "Los Amarillos" in Piñas canton, which highlights an average production of approximately 158 qq/ha from a total of 41 families engaged in this activity. In the design process, tests were necessary to estimate the stripping power, the air velocity for the expulsion of the corn cob, and the rotation frequency for the correct stripping of the product. With this information, a general model of the machine was proposed, where the shaft diameter was calculated, and the length and diameter of the stripping cylinder were estimated. Likewise, the geometry of the stripping elements and the design of the fan were determined. In the same way, key calculations were also made. Finally, the proposal includes technical plans as well as an economic assessment adjusted to the materials and construction processes of the locality.
