ALTERNATIVE LIMITS, he/she thought about as general objective: To analyze as the family disintegration impacts in the self-esteem of the children of third year of basic education of the school Vicente Bastidas Reinoso. Of the city of Loja, Period lectivo 2014-2015, and as specific objectives: To investigate the main causes of the family disintegration in the third year-old children; To identify the type of the children's self-esteem; to determine if the causes of the family disintegration impact in the type of the children's self-esteem and to elaborate limits propositivos for the improvement of the family relationships and the children's self-esteem. The present investigation is of cuanti-qualitative character framed in the following methods: scientific, analytic - synthetic and the descriptive one. The techniques and instruments that were applied were: it interviews to professors, family parents and the questionnaire of self-esteem of Coopersmith in the children. The total population was constituted by 48 children and girls of the school, 48 family parents and four professors. I can conclude affirming that: in the school Vicente Bastidas Reinoso in the third year of basic education children coming from disintegrated families exist and with a half self-esteem presenting characteristic as shyness, sadness and insecurity. The main causes of the family disintegration are: the divorce, violence intrafamiliar and migration.
