| Итог: | Feeding and nutrition in cattle is of utmost importance in a cattle ranch, where an adequate amount of nutrients must be provided for growth, body maintenance and pregnancy. However, the low energy level of the forage does not allow all the opti- mal parameters to be met in a cattle herd and to prevent this situation it is necessary to look for alternatives, such as the supplementation of rations made from saturated fats and thus improve the energy requirement , which is closely linked to reproduc- tion, that is why in the present investigation the objective was to determine the effect of palm oil supply, on body condition (CC), weight in kilograms (Kg), ovarian fun- ctioning (FO) and presence of heat, using 10 mixed Holstein heifers aged 16 to 24 months, divided into a group supplemented with 320 grams of palm oil for 15 days and a control group. Each group of animals is evaluated for weight, CC, FO at the beginning and at the end of treatment and the presence of heat in both groups of animals is also determined. Research results for weight vary statistically nonspeci- fic differences (P > 0.05) between treatments. For CC and FO, different differences were obtained (P < 0.05) in favor of palm oil treatment. Similarly in the presence of heat all animals in the treatment of visits and selectively a good visibility of the heat. Therefore it was concluded that the supply of palm oil can be considered as an alternative supplement for diets in cattle and that improves CC, FO and favors a better notoriety in the signs of heat. Key words: Palm oil, weight, body condition, operation, ovarian, presence of heat. |
