This research work entitled Sexually Transmitted Diseases in Adolescents of the National College of Zaruma November 26 was developed with the aim of evaluating the knowledge about generalities, complications and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. The study was quantitative and descriptive, whose universe was made up 324 teenagers who met the inclusion criteria; adolescents fully aware of the definition of sexually transmitted diseases and their classification; 75.01% knew about VHI and AIDS; Gonorrhea 66.06%; Genital Herpes 44.45%; 38.59% Human Papilloma Virus and Chlamydia lower percentage with 21.91%; Trichomoniasis with 20.67% and Hepatitis B with 16.97%. Afectan a mujeres y a hombres de todos los estratos socioeconómicos y razas. Son más comunes en los adolescentes y los adultos jóvenes. El presente trabajo investigativo titulado Enfermedades de Transmisión Sexual en Adolescentes del Colegio Nacional 26 de Noviembre de Zaruma se desarrolló con el objetivo de evaluar los conocimientos respecto a las generalidades, complicaciones y medidas de prevención de las enfermedades de transmisión sexual. El estudio fue cuantitativo y de tipo descriptivo, cuyo universo lo conformaron 324 adolescentes, quienes cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión; los adolescentes en su totalidad tienen conocimiento de la definición de las enfermedades de transmisión sexual y su clasificación; el 75,01% conoce sobre VHI y SIDA; 66,06% la Gonorrea; 44,45% el Herpes Genital; 38,59% el Virus de Papiloma Humano y en menor porcentaje la Clamidia con un 21,91%; la Tricomoniasis con un 20,67% y la Hepatitis B con un 16,97%.
