Özet:The major objective of the present research work within the subject of Curriculum Integration was to formulate the value-adding subprocess of planning, monitoring and evaluation of research projects for results-based management at Universidad Nacional de Loja in the year 2022 in order to develop a proposal for a process manual that contributes to the organization, systematization, efficiency and effectiveness of the activities to be carried out within the aforementioned subprocess as well as to provide quality service to the university community. Based on Juran’s theory (1981), which indicates the importance of quality within organizations by seeking to satisfy the user's needs through different means, it was important to take into account his proposed trilogy which are planification, control, and quality improvement in order to obtain a positive advanced in the processes and attention to the beneficiary. Additionally, the present investigation has a qualitative approach in which the inductive, analytical and synthetic methods were applied. Indispensable techniques such as direct observation and semistructured interviews were utilized to collect information. Furthermore, the use of tools such as the interview guide and Microsoft Visio were necessary for the realization of flowcharts corresponding to the subprocess. Through a situational diagnosis, which contributed to understand the current reality and the existing problems within the subprocess, the absence of a process manual within the research department was identified. The application of research instruments such as the observation form and the interview resulted in the delay in the submission of forms by the researchers of the research projects. These issues allowed the researcher to present the subprocess manual proposal through the creation of a flow chart that helps to visualize the activities to be carried out for the development of the subprocess, as well as to socialize it with the key actors within the research department and to make it known to the university community. At the end of the investigation, three conclusions and recommendations are presented that briefly indicate each of the results
