Resumo:The present investigation "Evaluation of green forage hydroponic corn (Zea mays L.) IN DIFFERENT STATES OF MATURITY IN THE FATTENING OF GUINEA PIGS IN THE HOYA DE LOJA" was developed in the sector Consacola '' citadel of the driver'' of the Canton Loja, with the purpose of evaluating the green forage hydroponic corn (Zea mays L.) in different states of maturity in the feeding of guinea pigs in the stage of fattening. Using 48 guinea pigs males weaned 4 weeks with a weight of 300 g; which are distributed in four groups of 12 animals each one, using a randomized complete block design. Four treatments were evaluated as follows: Treatment one (LAMP) 12 guinea pigs fed with (Alfalfa - rye grass) and water; Treatment Two 12 guinea pigs fed with grass Hydroponic corn 15 days and water; Treatment three 12 guinea pigs fed Grass Hydroponic corn 18 days and water; Treatment four 12 guinea pigs fed grass hydroponic corn 21 days and water. The following variables were studied: food consumption, weight gain, feed conversion, mortality, profitability and nutritive value of green forage hydroponic corn. The results demonstrate greater consumption of food in the treatment one with 15.81 kg; the greater weight gains were obtained by the animals in the treatment one with a weight of 870 g. The better feed conversion reached the treatment one with 27.74 that is needed consume 27.74 g of alfalfa - rye grass to win 1 g of live weight; while the treatment two had the lowest conversion with 39,57 ; the analysis bromatológico showed that the treatments that best quality presents especially protein is the control treatment that consists in alfalfa rye grass with 24.50 % dry base (BS) and within the evaluated forages was no difference between them being the HGF of maize of 21 days which better nutritional quality presents with 12.65 % of protein in dry base (BS); the highest mortality was presented in the treatment two (HGF 15 days) with a 25 % , whereas the treatment one (Alfalfa rye grass) and treatment 3 ( HGF 18 days) ; has a mortality rate of 8.33 %; the treatment one generated the greater profitability with 28.16 is to say that for every $ 100 of investment there is a gain of $ 28.16.
