ALTERNATIVE GUIDELINES. the general objective is formulated like this: to determine if the methodological strategies that the physics teachers use to address the curricular block, the relationship of physics with other sciences affect the developing of skills with performance criteria in the students of first year of General unified bachelor´s degree in the morning section of the educational unit Bernardo Valdivieso, academic year 2013-2014. The main used methods were: the scientific method to formulate the project and interpret information from field in the light of the theoretical framework, the analytical-synthetic method to analyze the relationship between the involved variables, the inductive-deductive method to infer the results and the hypothetical deductive method to contrast the main hypothesis, all these methods allowed to study and analyze the theoretical and empirical data about the methodological strategies that teachers use in the curriculum block: the relationship of physics with other sciences and the development of performance criteria skills in the students; the used techniques were: the observation, the survey, the statistics and the bibliography in order to obtain basic information on the topic, this study was performed to 2 teachers and 180 students of the first year of General unified bachelor´s degree in the morning section of the educational unit Bernardo Valdivieso. The obtained results are in total accordance with the hypothetical formulated approach, demonstrating that indeed, the methodological strategies that physics teachers use in the curriculum block of the relationship of physics with other sciences help very little developing performance criteria skills. This has been designed not only with the obtained field information but with careful analysis of theoretical references that come from other developed research on the topic and corresponding to proven theories. In this context some results are highlighted such as: In the study of the curricular block of the relationship of physics with other sciences will be achieved better development of skills with performance criteria if students are actively involved in the construction of knowledge, if teachers take as reference the previous knowledge and experiences of the students before to address the curricular block of the relationship of physics with other sciences developing skills with performance criteria would be more effective, if physics teachers rather than expose and explain the class, they would become motivators and mentors and would enhance the development of performance criteria skills
