He appealed to the survey as a research technique and as instrument was used two questionnaires were applied to 25 nurses, among the most relevant results of the study of 25 nurses it observed that in full are personal respondent they are women most of whom said they had experienced job stress at an low level represented by 60% of the total, with the main causes with 80% respectively job insecurity and work overload, manifested by job strain with 60% and physical exhaustion with 56% of the total surveyed. It was determined that the nurse is highly susceptible to develop stress from work pressures that do not conform to their knowledge and skills, and test their ability to cope with a situation. It was developed as a proposed intervention motivational talk based on the recommendations applicable practices as relaxation and breathing exercises to prevent or reduce work stress with the aim of improving the quality of life of staff and nursing care. Keywords: Job Stress, Professional NursingLa presente investigación se titula “Efectos del Estrés Laboral en los Profesionales de Enfermería del Hospital General Francisco de Orellana. Año 2013 -2014”, estuvo orientado a identificar los efectos de estrés laboral en los profesionales. La investigación fue de tipo: fijo trasversal, el mismo que es descriptivo y bibliográfico. Se recurrió a la encuesta como técnica de investigación y como instrumento se utilizó dos cuestionarios que se aplicaron a las 25 profesionales de enfermería, entre los resultados más relevantes del estudio de las 25 profesionales de enfermería se observó que la totalidad el personal encuestado son de sexo femenino quienes en su mayoría manifestaron haber experimentado estrés laboral en un bajo nivel representado por un 60% del total, teniendo como causas principales con un 80% respectivamente la inestabilidad laboral y la sobrecarga de trabajo, manifestado por la tensión laboral con un 60% y el agotamiento físico con un 56% del total encuestado. Se determinó que la profesional de enfermería es susceptible en alto grado a desarrollar estrés por las presiones laborales que no se ajustan a sus conocimientos y capacidades, y que ponen a prueba su capacidad para afrontar una situación. Se elaboró como propuesta de intervención charlas motivacionales basadas en las recomendaciones sobre prácticas aplicables como ejercicios de relajación y respiración, para evitar o disminuir el estrés laboral con el propósito de mejorar la calidad de vida del personal y la atención de enfermería.
