סיכום:The present research work had the following objective: to evaluate the games that affect the strengthening of gross motor skills of first year students of the parallel preparatory sub-level "B" in the "Adolfo Valarezo" High School of the city of Loja, period 2023, the approach used was mixed, quasi-experimental design, correlational type, the methods were: inductive, deductive, analytical-synthetic and statistical, the techniques: interview, observation and test. The instruments: questionnaire, observation form and physical test called 3JS, and observation form applied to the sample of 21 students; and also, an interview guide to the physical education teacher. In the data obtained, in the application of the diagnostic test, it was found the lack of coordination to jump, move, turn, throw and kick due to the lack of practice in most students, in addition to a deficit of balance and control of their body. The skill of bouncing a ball while avoiding obstacles was the one with the highest percentage of difficulties, with 52.4% at a low level, 33.3% at a regular level and 14.3% at a good level. Subsequently, with these results, a proposal was implemented to develop gross motor skills through the application of recreational activities, which is structured by 15 game cards, after this, in the application of the post-test, the following data were obtained: 48% reached the excellent level and 43% the good level. It is concluded that, based on the information obtained, it was considered essential to design a pedagogical proposal in physical education classes, in order to create an educational environment that includes a variety of strategies that allow stimulating the gross motor skills of students, thus contributing to the physical, cognitive and emotional development of children in their teaching-learning process.
