| সংক্ষিপ্ত: | Periodontal disease is a pathology that refers to the tissues of the support of the teeth, which present pathological evaginations called periodontal pockets, in turn contains several microorganisms that are responsible for the destruction of periodontal tissues, this experimental comparative study allows to assess the clinical effects in the application of 5% tetracycline gel, and 1% impletol, compared to the basic periodontal therapy applied in periodontal pockets from 4 mm to 6 mm; The investigation was carried out in 45 periodontal pockets, in patients who were published chronic periodontal attended in the Odontological clinic of the National University of Loja. It is divided into 45 samples in three groups of 15 periodontal bags each one, the same that were previously submitted to periodontal catheterization: GROUP A, scraping and smoothing plus placement of the drug 1 (tetracycline gel 5%) and GROUP B, scraping and smoothing plus placement of the drug 2 (impletol 1%), GROUP C, bags that received the basic periodontal therapy (scraping and root planing). All of these groups received plaque removal by initial prophylaxis, being evaluated at 28 days, making a comparison of the clinical response among the both medicaments. The gotten results are GROUP A, an insertion gain of 53.84 %, for the GROUP B, 26.92, and the GROUP C, 19.29. In summary, of the 45 periodontal bags: the group A treated with tetracycline gel to 5% had a better result, to the Group B and Group C, for the later periodontal treatments could be combined the basic periodontal therapy with the pharmacotherapy and get excellent outcomes. Key words. Tetracycline gel 5%, impletol solution 1%, basic periodontal therapy, periodontal bags. |
