Formulación de un plan de mejoramiento para la asociación de productores de porcinos de la parroquia Mercadillo

Raising pigs in Ecuador is currently one of the most important for income generation by small farmers activities. In the province of Loja, a high percentage of the population in all cantons practice since ancient times this animal activity. This research is called "Development of an Improvement Plan for the Association of Pork Producers of the Market parish" dedicated to the breeding and marketing of pigs: Creole and Pietraim, located in neighborhoods Light of America, San Jose and Palmas in the province of Loja Canton Puyango, Parish Market. The product being offered is live pigs with high lean meat, based on a balanced diet. The reason for this project is because in the parish Market Creole pig production exists without a tech breeding, so that family incomes are minimal; therefore it is a business opportunity to establish a farm with the best conditions for pig production. The methodology used was based on the deductive, inductive, scientific and technical survey methods such as direct observation, interview application. a meeting with the producers of the Market parish was performed to develop the swot tool, and identify problems that prevent continuity in the production of pigs, plus an economic analysis was conducted to see if there is profitability. The studied variables were analyzed through diagnosis of the internal environment (identification of strengths and weaknesses) and external environment diagnosis (characterization of opportunities and threats). Next, the future prospects of the company was done through the formulation of its vision, mission and objectives; then strategies and projects that allowed the general plan programming and implementation of the technical proposal were made. In analyzing the results it was found that the main weaknesses found in the Association of Pork Producers were: lack of access to distribution channels, trouble handling orders in large quantities, be new to the market, difficulty in accessing credit, not It has its own mobilization. He also proceeded to raise an alternative short-term plan, it aims to produce 540 baby pigs per year, which is why that acada player of the Association is endowed with 2 breeding broodstock of 5 pounds and 4 players 5 arrobas for the whole partnership, we will work with Landrace pigs for mothers and Yorkshire for father, for direct mount and to remove pigs for fattening daughters mothers crossing the above breeds with Pietrain recommended by artificial insemination. At the end of this proposal we have concluded that the association of pork producers Market has experienced by members of the same for rearing pigs, in addition to the economic benefits and high returns that will parish. It is recommended to producers of pork producers association of parish Market consider this investigation as a reference tool for local producers engaged in the production of pigs in the parish.
