| סיכום: | The study was conducted under the theme "Productive and Economic Assessment in the production of maracuyá (Passiflora edulis), in the sector La Capilla, Parroquia El Tambo, Canton Catamayo, Loja Province", which aims oriented to make productive evaluation and economic production of passion fruit smallholder sector Chapel, know the production process of the fruit, according to its particular characteristics and determine its profitability. For this purpose the following objectives were allowed in conjunction with the variables related to an economic study of the cultivation of passion fruit, determine the production cost per kilogram of this fruit, the profitability of production in this sector and thus the current situation production. The methodology used in the study that served to gather necessary information was based on the review of bibliographic information available about the production process of the passion fruit, visits to local producers to characterize qualitatively and quantitatively the cultivation of fruit, meet the crops, their costs and their dependence on national and international markets. To this observation techniques and surveys we were used. Once the information was tabulated and analyzed to determine the results. The results are the result of the analysis and interpretation of surveys whose owners maintain a production area of more than one hectare, some of which use tech machinery especially for land preparation, use family labor and workers engaged in the crop production; fruit being weak against pests and diseases agrochemical inputs are higher concentration so the environment is easily contaminated. The production system is extended with a drip irrigation system which ensures the moisture most of the time the crop is handled for planting seeds of the same medium; the production cost per kilogram of passion fruit was $ 0.12, on a hectare of land, also Benefit Cost Ratio of 1.49 indicating that for every dollar invested there is a gain of 0.49 cents , profitability shows that this type of cultivation in the current market conditions is above 100% with 49% sale so contributes to the income of small farmers. It is concluded that there is too much use of chemicals to control pests and diseases such as for fertilization with negative results regarding the health of those who cultivate as those who consume it; They are the intermediaries and retail marketing channels Fruit and despite this investment is profitable especially when there is greater demand for the product. increased production by mechanization of cultural practices necessary to cultivate more land area and also conduct training lectures by governmental and non-governmental institutions and thus make efforts in the field are compensated more utility |
