Summary:The research called THE LEARNING PROCESS LEARNING THE SPEED RACE IN STUDENTS OF THE 7TH YEAR OF MIDDLE BASIC GENERAL EDUCATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL UNIT “MANUEL IGNACIO MONTEROS VALDIVIESO” OF THE CITY OF LOJA PERIOD 2018-2019. Being the fundamental problem, how to apply the teachinglearning process that facilitates the improvement of the speed in their sports activities in the students of the 7th year of the sub-level of the educational unit “Manuel Ignacio Monteros period 2018-2019 ?, whose main objective is framed in determining how the teaching methodology of speed development learning is applied in 7th year students of the Manuel Ignacio Monteros Valdivieso Educational Unit, focusing scientifically on two variables; the speed race and the learning teaching process. The approach of the present investigation is of mixed character, the type of investigation is descriptive exploratory and the design of the same quasi-experimental, during the process the scientific, descriptive, qualitative, quantitative and statistical methods were applied, in the same way techniques such as interview, direct observation, survey and test technique and instruments such as questionnaire, interview record observation sheet and test for evaluation of the methodology of the speed race in students, it should be mentioned that among the most significant results are could conclude that 96.6% of students have increased their interest in practicing special exercises to improve the speed race, so it is recommended to choose to continuously apply the methodological alternative proposal called; program of technical exercises with the application of the methodology of the process of the teaching of the race of speed, that guarantees the learning in the students.
